The club announced today that the 29-year-old had signed with the club on a one-year deal, more than two months after the Newcastle Herald first revealed Quinn was considering a return to his junior club.
Quinn played 103 games for the Knights between 2002 and 2006 and has spent the past six seasons with the Melbourne Storm, where he made two grand final appearances.
The Knights and Quinn were awaiting NRL salary cap rise to be ratified before he signed an incentive-based contract.
Quinn is likely to start behind wingers Aku Uate and James McManus, but will provide greater depth and experience to the coach Wayne Bennett's squad.
