THREE people were lucky to walk away from a spectacular Hume Freeway crash that closed the road this morning.

A B-double truck and a ute carrying a load of wood came to grief at Byawatha, north of Wangaratta, about 1.30am.
The cause of the accident is not yet known but both vehicles rolled over and the truck burst into flames.
Power lines were also brought down.
Occupants were taken to Wangaratta Base hospital, but it is not believed any sustained major injuries.
Police at the scene said the occupants were lucky to be alive.
The south-bound lanes of the Hume Freeway were closed for the early part of the morning.
