The Swampies, with their backs against the wall, managed to mow down the Brookers’ total of 7-237 with just one wicket and three overs to spare.
Shaun Joyce, batting at No.9, belted an unbeaten 45 in the final overs to steer Henty to victory.
The Swampies were on the ropes at 7-150 at the tea break.
“It definitely wasn’t looking good,” Forrest admitted after the win.
“I was wondering a few times whether we’d get there.
“Anything over 200 is hard to chase but the guys showed a bit of spirit.
“It’s one of the best wins I’ve been a part of.”
The Brookers got themselves into a more than handy position on day-one but ultimately it wasn’t enough.
An unbeaten knock of 62 from Hayden Wishart was the highlight on Saturday, with Josh Jones (48), Jimmy Grills (36) and Dylan Fairall (27) also adding to Holbrook’s scorecard.
Greg Schuller top-scored for Henty yesterday with 52.
In the round’s other match, Osborne forfeited to ladder-leader Culcairn but it had no impact on ladder placings.
Finals start this week, with Culcairn and Henty set to face off for a spot in the decider.
Osborne and Holbrook face elimination in their clash.
