ALBURY-Wodonga Junior Football League clubs are well represented in teams competing in the under-15 NSW Schools Championships in Broken Hill this week.
The biggest representation of players is in the Riverina-Murray team coached by Albury High’s Adam DeMamiel.

Xavier High teacher Mark Sanson is coaching the Southern Combined Catholic Colleges team consisting of eight players from his school.
They are Fletcher Carroll, Jack Kirley, Ben Lloyd, Jack King, Lachie Gould, Billy Robertson, Harry Nunn and Brandon Thomas.
Charlie Spargo and Will Setterfield (Scots), Zach Sproule (Trinity) and Alex Paech (St Paul’s) are also playing for the Combined Independent Schools team.
Last year Jay O’Donoghue (Corowa), Matt Klemke (Billabong), Harry Tanner (Xavier) and Harry Dowling (Trinity) made the NSW All Schools team announced at the end of the carnival.
The first round of matches were played yesterday before the finals are contested tomorrow.
Meanwhile, NSW-ACT has started the under-18 national championships last Saturday with a 48-point loss against South Australia at Blacktown despite starring roles from Murray Bushrangers players Jydon Neagle and Michael Gibbons.
South Australia, courtesy of a five-goal blitz in seven minutes in the third quarter, cruised to an easy victory.
Neagle, the son of late Essendon premiership player Merv, led his side with three goals and six inside 50s.
The Murray Bushranger over-age player was lively in the forward line and ended as his team’s best player along with Gibbons.
The Lavington mid-fielder had a game-high 29 disposals and 12 tackles.
He also showed great intensity around the ball to accumulate nine clearances.
NSW-ACT will back up against Vic Metro in Melbourne on Sunday.
Neagle and Gibbons will be joined in the squad by other Bushrangers players Matt Munro and Kieran Ellis (Albury) and Kristian Cary (North Albury).
