HIGH energy consumption due to hot weather is believed to have caused a power outage in West Wodonga this morning.
About 1100 homes were without power from 7.30am.
An SP AusNet spokesman said a crew was dispatched immediately and restored power to 500 of the 1100 customers by 9.30am.
The remaining homes had power restored by 10.30am.
The company apologised for any inconvenience and asked residents to conserve power where possible.
