The boy, 15, was charged with attempted burglary and bailed to appear at a children’s court.
Detective Leading Sen-Constable Andrew Leonard said a woman in her 30s caught two youths allegedly removing the fly-wire of a window at a home in Hague Road in Wodonga on Sunday afternoon.
He said the youths ran-off after being discovered.
Sen-Constable Leonard said police are still searching for one of the youths, whose identity is known to them.
He encouraged the youth to come forward by going into the Wodonga police station or phoning detectives on (02) 6049 2600.
