Position: Goalkeeper
Joined Melbourne Heart FC’s stable of emerging stars as the club’s first new recruit for the 2012/13 season. In January last year, then Head Coach John Aloisi promoted him to first team ‘keeper and he has made himself a favourite among the Heart’s faithful.

Returned home to Melbourne after over a decade spent in the UK where he had successful spells with Hearts, Leeds United and Leicester City, captaining the latter. Kisnorbo made the last of his 18 appearances for the Socceroos in 2010, only missing the plane to South Africa due to injury.

Signed in 2010 as a member of the inaugural Melbourne Heart FC squad. A product of the New South Wales Institute of Sport, Hoffman made his senior team debut at the age of 18 for the Newcastle Jets, playing an important role in their successful campaign for the A-League 2007 championship.

Melbourne Heart FC strengthened its defensive stocks with the signing of former Ajax and Roda JC central defender Rob Wielaert in June. Wielaert, 34, has an exceptional resume, with over 350 matches of elite experience with three of the biggest clubs in Holland.

Kewell has been thrilling Aussie football fans ever since he burst on to the scene with Leeds and the Socceroos in his teens. Kewell made 181 appearance for Leeds, scoring 45 goals. He eventually secured a dream move to Liverpool, where he won the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup during his 93 appearances for the Reds.

A foundation player since the club’s inception, was signed from the Victorian Premier League as part of the club’s initial tranche of young recruits. Viewed as a rising star, Kalmar’s ability to ghost dangerously into the penalty area makes him a genuine scoring threat from deep.

Murdocca arrived home to Melbourne after eight seasons with Brisbane Roar, where he established himself as a model of consistency and excellence. A diminutive midfield general, Murdocca is a dual Hyundai A-League championship winner and joined Heart in June on a two-year deal.

Ramsay grew up in Sydney but left to trial in Scotland at 17 years, before scoring a youth contract with Scottish club Gretna FC. But, he found it difficult to break into the senior team and decided to return home where he played for Sydney FC and Adelaide before being signed for heart last year.

Argentine Jonaton Germano joined Melbourne Heart FC’s squad for the 2011/12 season on a two-year contract. Esteemed as a quality player at both ends of the park, Germano deploys toughness in defence and poise going forward. Such versatility makes him a crucial member of the Melbourne Heart team.

Mate Dugandzic has become a key component for the Heart front line since joining in 2011. He is a home grown talent who has shown tremendous potential since his youth days at St Albans and Melbourne Knights. His impressive performances earned him stint with Croatian club Dinamo Zagreb.
