The Glory left Western Australia yesterday wearing full-leg compression tights to protect them on the flight to Melbourne before jumping on a bus today to head to the Border and a training session tonight at the ground.
Socceroo and key defender Michael Thwaite, now having spent two years in the west, said it was just another challenge for a Perth side looking to play in the finals.
“It will be a strange one for us, coming from Perth to Melbourne is a hike in itself, let alone a four-hour bus trip to Albury,” he said.
“This is my second year at Glory and I’m used to it now, it is just one of the challenges and in part why our away record hasn’t been up to scratch.”
Thwaite said the recent mid-season transfer window had added great depth to the club.

Glory picked up former Mariner Rostyn Griffith, Lithuanian International striker Darvydas Sernas and one-time Serb youth international Nebojsa Marinkovic last month.
“When Alistair Edwards came in we had the next generation of WA players with no A-League experience and some other players with a lot of experience,” he said.
“We were missing that middle age bracket and since Kenny (Lowe) came in he has brought in players with A-League and European football experience.
“It was something we lacked at the start of the year but we are getting the right balance now and hopefully that shows with 10 rounds to go.”
