That’s the view of the oldest member of the Albury-Wodonga Photography Group on Facebook.
Patrick Welsh, 74, who favours his SLR camera, has a social media profile.
He said it was never too late to chase a passion.
“I’ve always had an interest in photography but I had to put it on the back burner for years,” he said.
“I was a young married man with children and I was too busy.”
Mr Welsh said the age of digital cameras was great — “you just take your photo and upload it on to your computer”.
The Albury-Wodonga Photography Group liaises via the web and Mr Welsh said it catered for busy people who still wanted to pursue their hobby.
“It’s hard for people to get out and about,” he said.
More than 70 photographs from 41 members of the group will be on display at an exhibition from tonight at the GIGS Gallery on the Lincoln Causeway.
Exhibition committee member Mark Slater said it was a great opportunity for beginners to showcase their talent.
Mr Slater said it was looking like tonight would be the gallery’s most successful opening, with more than 150 people expected to attend.
The exhibition is open from 6 to 9pm tonight. It will then open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 4pm until March 23.
