Alexander Geoffrey Fenwick, 36, of Balfour Street, was driving a Ford Territory on the Culcairn-Holbrook Road about 7.45am on August 8.
It was involved in a three-vehicle crash which resulted in the death of a Wagga man, 62.
The charge against Fenwick was mentioned in Albury Local Court yesterday with a plea of not guilty entered on his behalf.
Magistrate Tony Murray ordered a police brief be prepared by April 14 with the case back in court eight days later.
He said he would set a hearing date on April 22.
Fenwick, who did not attend court, is represented by a Maitland legal firm.
Police said a Ford Territory was involved in a crash with a livestock truck moments before it veered into the path of a red Ford Mondeo, driven by the Wagga man.
