ALBURY Thunder and Southcity players dominate the Indigenous-Maori team to play the All Stars in a Group 9 rugby league challenge match at Greenfield Park next weekend.

Coached by Peter Little, the line-up will include nine players from the two clubs.

Gun Bulls’ recruit Zac Merritt has been named and is expected to play despite revelations he wouldn’t join the premiership contender this year.

Merritt is expected to play in Bathurst.

Thunder players Ben Jeffery, Willie Heta, Joe Silafau and Zac Tipene are also in the team.

There will be at least six games starting from 12pm next Saturday.

The All Stars, who will be coached by Thunder premiership mentor Josh Cale, will name their team in coming days with Young star Luke Branighan to captain the line-up.

The Indigenous-Maori team is: Will Merritt, Pani Manawatu, Wayne Goolagong, Zac Merritt, Nathan Rose, Tristian Dixon (Southcity); Josh Trindall (Brothers), Ben Jeffery, Willie Heta, Joe Silafau, Zac Tipene (Albury Thunder), Willie Purcell, Sione Tongia, Fine Faingaa (Cootamundra). Coach: Peter Little.
