A MAN has been charged with drugs and weapon offences after police stopped a car in Wagga early on Saturday.

The Wagga man, 23, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by officers on Oura Road about 3.30am.
Police searched the man and found a driver’s licence they said was in another person’s name and more than $1100 cash.
Police then searched the vehicle and allegedly seized two knives, a baton-shaped torch, a replica firearm and a bag suspected of containing drugs.
The man was taken to Wagga police station where he was charged with possession of a prohibited drug, goods in custody suspected of being stolen, custody of a knife (two counts) and custody of offensive implement.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Wagga Local Court on May 21.
