Leslie faces a month on the sidelines after hurting ligaments, but is desperate to return as soon as possible with the club already battling on the injury front.
“It’s anywhere from two to five weeks,” Leslie said.
“I’m hopeful it’s only two or three, though.
“I just hit the wrong spot.”
Leslie said he was disappointed to be sitting out today’s clash against Lavington.
The former star forward turned defender shaped as a potent- ial match-up for former teammate Adam Prior.
“I was looking forward to it,” Leslie said.
“We’ve been playing some really good footy in patches.”
Leslie also considered leaving Bunton Park over the summer but opted to stay.
He said he was more than happy with that decision after a promising start to the year.
“It’s been great,” Leslie said.
“I’m really enjoying it.
“The young blokes have been playing well, we just need to put four quarters together.”
