The trio faced Wodonga Court for an extradition hearing before magistrate Ian Watkins.
They were each charged with armed robbery in relation to a hold-up at the Springdale Heights Tavern Bottlemart on Monday night.
James Stevens, 27, of Albury, Sarah Kent, 30, of Munro Street, Culcairn and Jamie Thurley, 26, of Wagga, did not oppose their extradition from Victoria to NSW.
They are due to appear in Albury Local Court later this afternoon.
The men were arrested in Wodonga's High Street about 3pm yesterday and were held in the city's police station overnight.
It is alleged the men were armed with knives when they held up the Springdale Heights Tavern Bottlemart on Monday night.
Police said two men entered the Kaitlers Road shop just after 8pm and demanded money from an 18-year-old male attendant.
The employee was forced into another room and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
Albury police Inspector Lynelle Rodwell said the employee was not injured in the robbery.
“Although he was
not injured, it’s not the kind of experience you want a young person to go through when they
are simply at work,” she said.
Springdale Heights Tavern owner Graeme Bosse declined to speak to The Border Mail yesterday.
Springdale Heights resident Liz Hassgall was surprised to read about the armed hold up in The Border Mail yesterday.
Mrs Hassgall said it highlighted the need for more police in the area.
“Albury and Lavington is getting too big for just one police station,” she said.
“It’s time Lavington had its own.”
Another neighbour Des Corbett agreed crime in the area was on the rise.
“The IGA supermarket has been broken into twice recently, you get used to it,” he said.
Monday night’s robbery comes less than a fortnight after two men, one armed with a knife, held up Padman’s Corner Takeaway in West Albury.
