One that takes in trails near Myrtleford that, according to organiser Ben Watkins, most people don’t know even exist.
The Victorian State Gravity Enduro Cycling Championships, organised by Alpine Gravity, started yesterday and continue today and tomorrow.
The hidden trails are in the mountain range above Nil Gully, at the end of Halls Road.
Mr Watkins said the event was for everyone.
“People can come on the day and have fun,” he said.
“Mount Beauty and Bright are known for trails, but not Myrtleford.
“We want to expose people to trails people don’t know exist.”
Mr Watkins said the event was a boost for the town’s tourism — there are more than 200 entries and up to another 100 are expected.
There are four starting points, with events over distances of 1 to 2.5 kilometres.
