Ryder James Dundee was born at Northeast Health Wangaratta hospital at 5.45am, weighing 2.26 kilograms (5 pound 14 ounces), three weeks before his due date.
Earlier, Ms Humphreys, of Mulwala, had told partner Billy Dundee he ought to get her a Mother’s Day present in anticipation of Ryder’s arrival.
“He said ‘But he’s not here yet!’” she laughed.
“This was really the best surprise of all.”
