Police said it appeared the woman, 85, was trying to park her car about 10.45am when she misjudged the space.
She also possibly put her foot on the accelerator instead of the brake.
Several panels on the car were damaged along the driver’s side, while the Victorian ambulance received minor damage to the front.
Two paramedics from the ambulance were inside the hospital at the time.
Police said the woman would be issued with an infringement notice over the crash.
