Wagga-based Talking Tech Riverina has secured entrepreneur Mr Kogan, 31, as a guest speaker for its meeting on Monday.
Founder and chief executive of kogan.com, Mr Kogan will talk about his own experiences in starting his retail website.
Group founder Simone Eyles said Mr Kogan’s inspiring story and age made him perfect fit.
“We are really trying to inspire start up tech businesses, students and young people and show them tech businesses can work in regional areas, and Ruslan Kogan’s story aligns with this,” she said.
“Kogan launched his business from his parents’ garage at 23 and is now worth $315 million.
“We know a tech startup doesn’t become successful by magic — it takes a lot of blood, sweat and tears — and running Australia’s largest online retailer obviously requires a huge amount of work.”
The free, ticketed event is open to the public.
It will be held at Cache Store of Food, Baylis Street, Wagga, on Monday from 6-8pm.
