Wahgunyah Speedway is winding up

WAHGUNYAH Speedway sizzled last Saturday night when the Victorian Super Sedan Association completed the final round of its pointscore series, with Traralgon driver Peter Nicola claiming victory ahead of Ash Bergmeier.

Main support race was the Ovens and Murray Zone title for sports sedans, with Wagga’s Paul Barklem taking the win for car owner Charlie Ball.

The Goulburn Ovens Sedan Association points round was won by Jason Mills, while Stephen Laidlaw took out the Dunn’s Crane Series for production sedans.

The Standard Saloons final was won by Mansfield lady driver Jaimi Barber.

Wahgunyah Speedway’s last meeting for the season will be held next weekend when it hosts the annual Talbots 1000 for production sedans and the Howie Memorial for standard saloons.

The Ovens and Murray Zone title for Goulburn Ovens Sedans and a VSC junior sedan event will also be on the program.
