After qualifying among the top-32 gymnasts in the state at National Level 6, the Flyaway team, consisting of Kate Bickerton, Tahlia Winter-Weidner and Isabel Mitchell, finished fourth overall in the teams event.
They then won eight of the 15 medals up for grabs in the individual finals, including a trifecta on the balance beam, and grabbed placings on the asymmetric bars and floor apparatus.
In the Individual All Around section Kate placed second, Tahlia third and Isabel fifth in Victoria at this level.
The event doubled as a team selector for the Trans Bass Challenge with Kate, Tahlia and Isabel winning three of the six spots up for grabs in the Victorian state team at National Level 6.
It will be held in Tasmania in September with the top six girls in the level competing against girls from other states.
Flyaway coach Rachael Williams was also nominated to be the Victorian National 6 state team coach.
