After trailing by 15 points at half-time, the Bushrangers fought back strongly but were unable to take the points, despite having 25 more scoring shots for the match.
Stacey Browne was the standout for the Lady Bushrangers in the 65-60 defeat.
She finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds, with Alana Sutton compiling 11 points, 11 rebounds and six steals.
The Gators were led by league standout Rhianna Barton, who picked up 18 points and 18 rebounds.
The Bushrangers’ men were humbled 87-55 by the Gators.
Gators MVP favourite Matt Bartlett had a game-high 28 points and eight assists to be the difference.
Jon Lindhe was impressive for the Bushrangers with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Dylan Webb battled hard down low to finish with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Despite the final margin being 32 points, the Bushrangers can take a lot of positives from the game and look forward to transferring it to the final six games of the season.
Both teams return home to take on the Mornington Breakers at the Wodonga Sports and Leisure Centre this Saturday night.
