Lee Eskell’s rented home on the Omeo Highway was gutted by fire on Sunday.
The Eskdale Progress Association has been gathering donations for Ms Eskell, who did not have insurance.
Border residents have also offered household items to the 63-year-old, who is due to undergo major surgery in coming weeks.
Apart from her car and some clothes, everything Ms Eskell owned was destroyed.
An official cause of the blaze has not been determined, but firefighters believe an electrical fault at the rear of the house is to blame.
