A man entered a home in Huon Street about 2pm last Friday.
Detective Leading Sen-Constable Ian Deverell said the man had damaged the house but left empty handed.
“Nothing was taken and no one was injured,” he said.
“The man is believed to have been a passenger in a purple ute, which may have been in the area around Hovell Street or Huon Street.
“We believe it is a local ute from the Albury-Wodonga area.”
At least two people were home during the incident.
“The occupants are very disturbed from what’s occurred,” Sen-Constable Deverell said.
“Police are in the early stages of the investigation at this point in time.”
He said small actions like locking doors could prevent such incidents.
“It’s a reminder for people to lock their doors, even during the daytime,” he said.
“It’s a simple action that can prevent consequences.”
Anyone with any information is urged to phone Wodonga police on (02) 6049 2700, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
