Emergency services were called to the Houlaghans Creek bridge on Coolamon Road at 7.19pm, responding to a report of three people trapped.
Two Turvey Park NSW Fire and Rescue crews, paramedics and the Volunteer Rescue Association were called.
At the time of going to print, two people were still trapped in one of the vehicles.
The accident closed Coolamon Road in both directions, with diversions put in place through Collingullie, Marrar and Old Junee.
Wagga City and Coolamon Shire councils were helping with road closures, while Albury detectives were called to help Wagga police in the investigation.
None of the sheep in the truck were harmed.
