Four years ago the Corowa Rutherglen combine “united” and has continued to grow in junior numbers and results.
Last Saturday more than 350 people visited their Corowa grass pitches when all six teams won on the day.
On Sunday the winning streak continued on the synthetic pitches across Albury and Wodonga by winning another six games to make it 12 from 12 for the round.
“It was an incredible weekend of hockey with a clean sweep and all 12 teams winning over the weekend, setting them up for some real finals opportunities,” the club’s Julie Bartlett said.
But clearly the day was about more than winning as this snap of United’s Marcie Gray and Wodonga’s Emma Pontt shows at the end of the under-13 clash.
