After notching up a club record 16th successive win last weekend, the Saints crushed a shellshocked Euroa by 131 points in the Goulburn Valley league at Euroa on Saturday.
It was another brutal performance by Benalla, with Alistair Jacka, Lachie Smith and James and Will Martiniello leading the charge.
Key forward Josh Mellington capped off a strong match with six goals.
Coach Luke Morgan said the even spread of contributors was again pleasing.
While Benalla’s midfield is first-class, its forward line has been terrorising opposition defences.
Four players — Nick Warnock (57), Mellington (42), Thomas Havers (27) and Jacka (27) — are in the league’s top 20 goalkickers after 17 rounds of the home and away series. Benalla broke its previous best winning streak of 15 — set in the Ovens and Murray league in 1978 — last weekend with a 102-point thrashing of Mansfield.
The Saints take on Seymour in the final round this weekend.
