BROCK-BURRUM could make up to seven changes for Saturday’s elimination final against CDHBU at Walbundrie.
While CDHBU upset the defending premier last week to snatch an unlikely finals berth, the Saints are set to field a vastly different line-up this weekend.
Co-coach Luke Brauer said the Saints would welcome back premiership players Kylin Morey, Robbie Norris, Liam Johnson and Eddie Menz among others.
“We will probably make at least five changes, maybe more,” Brauer said.
“A lot will depend how blokes perform on the track and we are going to have to make some tough decisions at selection tonight.
“Full credit to CDHBU last week, they were playing for survival and played like a team possessed.”
Brauer conceded while most pundits would consider the Saints favourites, little separated the two sides.
“We only beat them by nine points earlier in the season when close to full strength,” he said.
“They seem to be one side that on paper matches up well against us.
“It looks a genuine toss of the coin especially after they would have gained a fair bit of confidence out of winning last week.
“But in saying that I thought our training on Monday night was the best of the year and the vibe was completely different.”
Brauer said the Saints’ ball use is where the game will be won and lost.
“We have been keeping stats on our inside 50s all season and have averaged 25 to 30 more than every opponent this year,” he said.
“So are ball use is going to be critical.
“Even against Henty who finished on top, we had 25 more inside 50s.”
