Hawks fanatic Michael Payne was announced as the winner yesterday, collecting a Grand Final experience.
The experience includes two tickets to the Top Tippa event at Aer Bar in Melbourne, accommodation at the Jasper Hotel and a ticket in the Top Tippa tournament on Grand Final day, with the chance to win $1 million.
“It felt pretty good, especially since it was my first time winning,” said Mr Payne, a five-year employee of Lester and Son Funerals.
“It really happened by chance; somebody just said ‘Have a go’ and I did.”
Mr Payne’s strategy for his tipping was to always pick one roughie, one that was not necessarily the favourite.
The two runners up were Leanne Smith, of Wodonga, who supports North Melbourne, and Tracey Hawkins, a one-eyed Collingwood supporter from Albury.
