Alan Phillips’s Moving Pictures exhibition has 24 paintings and is symbolic of his move from the Northern Territory to the North East.
“The images change from salt plains, termite mounds and wide open lands to rolling hills of green and blue dams,” he said.
Part of the profits will be given to a Border committee raising money to send East Timorese orphans to school.
“The last exhibition I held raised $1800 for the orphans, and I would hope to make at least the same again,” Mr Phillips said.
The exhibition is open from 10am to 4pm daily until October 30, at the Creators Artspace on Gateway Island.
