CHARLES Sturt University’s founding director of the Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation is retiring.
Professor Deirdre Lemerle has led the centre since its inception 10 years ago.
The weed scientist spent 25 years before that with the NSW Department of Primary Industries in Wagga.
Professor Lemerle said she was proud of what had been achieved in the past decade.
“There’s a great team of scientists at the Graham Centre and we have developed partnerships with farming systems groups to ensure that our research is needs driven,” she said.
