The choir has shuffled through the sheet music to dig out every piece of music about every creature great and small, as it explores the theme Animalia.
Every song performed this weekend will relate to animals in some way, with some pieces dating as far back as the 15th century.
Choir president Helen Barton promised the tunes would range from the “sublime to the ridiculous”.
“It’s been great fun to rehearse,” she said.
“We do three concerts a year and the first one we like to be a bit more light-hearted.
“(Choir director) Mike Halsey has made it a lot of fun to put together.”
Among the songs to be performed are The Owl and The Pussycat, The Seal Lullaby and of course, The Lion Sleeps Tonight.
The choir will perform at St Matthews Church, Albury at 7.30pm on Saturday, and at St John’s Church in Wodonga at 2.30pm on Sunday. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 concessions and are available at the door.
