Saint officials announced to players at McNamara Reserve on Thursday night that the pair had agreed to a fourth season in charge of the Ovens and Murray club.
Although Myrtleford has fallen well short of expectations with only two wins in 12 matches, club president Michael Quirk backed the pair to lead the club out of the doldrums.
“The whole football club is behind the coaches,” Quirk said.
“We will back them in 100 per cent.
“One of the priorities for our new board was to get our coaches signed as soon as possible and we have been able to achieve that.
“We don’t accept where we are on the ladder and we know where our list is at so there is plenty of work to do.
“It was important to re-appoint these guys early so we can start looking at 2016.”
Myrtleford has had little or no return from several of this year’s high-profile recruits with Mitch Hough and Willie Thorne leaving the club before the clearance deadline due to injuries and form.
Shannon Broadbent was forced to bail out before the start of the season due to personal reasons while Matt Dussin has managed just seven matches due to work commitments in Melbourne.
“We aren’t happy with where we sit on the ladder but the coaches have remained positive despite long-term injuries and unavailability,” he said.
Myrtleford will be desperate to defeat Wangaratta Rovers on Saturday to dodge the wooden spoon.
