BULLIOH’S Matt Tyrell has escaped suspension for failing to leave the ground during Saturday’s clash between the Bulldogs and Cudgewa.
Tyrell’s refusal to walk off after being reported led to the umpire calling off the Upper Murray league match at Tallangatta Valley Recreation Reserve.
The incident occurred during the third quarter.
The tribunal took Tyrell's excellent playing record into account when handing down its decision.
Cudgewa was awarded the four premiership points as it led at the time of the incident.
Tyrell’s Bullioh teammate Taylor Fenton received a one-week suspension for abusive language from the same game.
In this weekend’s round of matches, the Blues take on Tumbarumba at Cudgewa.
The ladder leader’s are two wins clear of the pack and should notch up their 13th win of the season.
