The former Benalla star polled 29 votes to finish seven clear of coach Scott Beattie to ease some of the disappointment of their early exit from the finals series.
Cobram trio Ryan Bongetti, John Lucas and Thomas Crapp and Finley’s Matthew Jackson tied for third on 17 votes.
Mulwala coach Nic O’Bryan came fourth on 16.
Priest also took out the Club Mulwala player of the year award.
Tongala’s Ashley Hughes won the reserve count with 28 votes, Numurkah’s Dylan Grandell was successful in the thirds and Deniliquin’s Matthew McDonald romped home in the fourths.
Tocumwal’s Debbie Garlic was honoured with the top administrator of the year award.
Numurkah’s Renee Judd took out the A grade netball top award, Mulwala’s Natalie Ferguson won the B grade, Echuca United’s Jocelyn Tomlinson emerged victorious in the C grade and Tocumwal’s Tracy Hocking and Mulwala’s Brooke Mathews (Mulwala) shared the C reserve award.
