Matt Seiter and Daniel Bradshaw were late withdrawals for the Bulldogs as they recorded their fourth win for the season 10.8 (68) to 6.11 (47).
The Bulldogs came out snarling as Ovens and Murray football returned to Barkly Park for the first time in 34 years, kicking five unanswered goals in the opening term.
Sam Livingstone and Tom Anson were four-quarter contributors for Wodonga, who could only manage two goals after half-time. Hayden Filliponi led the way for the Roos, who couldn’t close the gap despite having 10 scoring shots to the Bulldogs’ five after the long break.
The win sees the Bulldogs move ahead of Wangaratta Rovers on the ladder ahead of a crunch round 12 match between the teams that will eliminate one from the finals race.
