The Rutherglen winery’s Non-vintage Old Premium Rare Liqueur Topaque was awarded the JCM Fornachon Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Best Fortified.
The award caps a positive month for Morris Wines which was bought by Griffith-based winemakers Casella Family Brands last week.
French-Canadian sommelier Michelle Bouffard sampled 2200 wines from Australia's best producers at the wine show last week.
“I have been privileged to judge wine all over the world, and on a global scale, Australian wine is very highly ranked,” she said.
“I was extremely impressed with the impeccably high standard of wines.”
A total of 146 gold medals, 276 silver medals and 700 bronze medals were awarded at the show.
