Chapman has spent the past three seasons with Goulburn Valley Football League club Shepparton Swans and played in the Swans’ 2014 premiership side.
The left-footer will add further depth to Myrtleford’s emerging midfield brigade which was instrumental in the Alpine Saints charging into this year’s finals series for the first time since 2006.
Chapman has played almost 150 matches for Myrtleford and officials are hoping he’s the first of several locals to return to the club.
Meanwhile, Lavington grand final player Truman Carroll has returned to Riverina Football League club Turvey Park.
Carroll forced his way into the Panthers side just before the finals series and played six senior matches for the season.
He will miss the opening two matches due to suspension from the grand final loss to Albury.
Carroll considered an approach from Henty before opting to return to Wagga.
Wangaratta’s Justin Hoggan has signed with Tarrawingee.
