The government will meet with North East dairy farmers at Tangambalanga on December 12 to address delays farmers face accessing emergency financial assistance. Senator Bridget McKenzie will head the 10.30am meeting with farmers, industry representatives, Department of Human Services and Independent Member for Indi Cathy McGowan, who urged government to address farmer concerns. Meanwhile, Fonterra confirmed on Wednesday it was exploring supply opportunities with North East dairy farmers.
