The 21-year-old was nominated by his home club after performing well with the Border Bullets in the T20 format.
He will be in Melbourne on Sunday morning to be put through his paces at the MCG and will be pushing to make the cut for a second trial.
Craig said he hasn’t got huge hopes about getting picked up at this stage, but will treat the experience as an opportunity to learn more about his game.
“I love T20 cricket and I have moulded my game on it,” he said.
“It’s my favourite format because I like to play aggressively and put the bad balls away.”
The batting all-rounder is excited to make the most of the opportunity he has been given and knows it will be a massive step up from local cricket.
