“The Bhutanese are such good people in our community and they absolutely love their cricket.
“It’s grown from a one-off game in 2015 to the Bhutanese Big Bash League with five teams earlier this year.
“The North Albury Cricket Club and people like Michael Erdeljac have been fantastic in their support.
“It’s been great to see it take off over the past few years.”
Mackinlay helped the Bhutanese source playing equipment, build networks and assist in providing a welcoming environment in the Albury-Wodonga cricket community,
About 1500 people attended the function at Rosehill racecourse.
