It may not be the crime of the century, but Ray Williams said he was disappointed by whoever picked the vegetables, along with a new magnolia plant and fertiliser, from his Vine Street home.
He says he hopes whoever stole the eight pumpkins from his house on Monday night chokes on them.
Those responsible walked down Mr Williams’ driveway and took the vegetables, which he had planned to give to his friends and family.
He’s previously had a bike and a mobility scooter taken from the home and has started shutting every gate at the property.
“I hope someone might have turned up with half a dozen pumpkins and a large magnolia to give to their wife as a present,” Mr Williams said.
“If they read about it, they might feel embarrassed.
“It just goes to show that there are a lot of scumbags in our midst.
“It’s not much value, it’s just the nuisance, inconvenience and disappointment.”
