A FERRET named Coco has taken out the top prize in the first Tallangatta races. The Sandy Creek runner was one of 32 ferrets who took part in the event outside the town’s pub, raising money for the Albury-Wodonga cancer centre. Shane George, who helped organise the Easter Sunday event, said ferrets had travelled from as far as Canberra to compete. About 200 onlookers helped to raise about $400 for the Border cancer centre.
