But Rennie’s drought-breaking victory over Dookie in the Picola and District league on Saturday compares with the best of them.
The Hoppers won their first match since July 26, 2014, when they ran-out 37-point victors.
The win snapped a 42-match losing streak.
“There were a lot of emotional people after the game,” Pendergast said.

“It was a big day for the footy club.”
Pendergast and Rennie coach Craig Ednie were in the best players while former Yarrawonga player Chase Strawhorn kicked four goals.
Brendan Fevola will make a one-off appearance for Rennie against Waaia on Saturday.
“Fev is right to play so it’s another big day for the club,” club president Andrew Starr said.
