Johnson, who has been named in the league’s representative squad, was booked by the video review panel for striking Lavington’s Adam Butler.
The incident occurred during the third quarter of last Friday’s clash at Lavington Oval.
Johnson has been one of the finds of the Ovens and Murray season after turning in a best afield showing in Wodonga’s round two win over Albury.
Bulldog Bob Russell was also booked by the video review panel, but is opting to fight the charge.
He will front the tribunal on Thursday night for engaging in rough play against Lavington youngster Jack Kirley.
