Gorman and her teammates went through eight matches undefeated with the side beating South Australia Metro 69-60 in the final.
She played 31 minutes in the decider.
It was Victoria Country’s first win in the age division since 2000.
“We thought we had a good chance of winning,” Gorman said.
“I’m not sure if anyone else did or not.
“The final was fairly close against South Australia Metro but we got there.
“It was really hot and humid at Townsville with one court having no air-conditioning.”
Gorman was satisfied with her performances during the championships and hopes to pick up a university scholarship in the US in coming months.
