Melrose’s 3-2 result handed Wangaratta City its first loss of the season, while Myrtleford was taken down on its home pitch, 2-1, by reigning league champions Cobram Roar, to tighten up the standings at the top of table.

Albury United continued to sneak under the radar with a 5-0 win over St Pats.

Boomers were held to a shock 1-1 draw against Albury Hotspurs after dropping their first game last weekend.

Doubles to Matt Hasler and Jarrod Murphy saw Twin City Wanderers come away with a much-needed 4-2 win over local rivals Wodonga Diamonds to stay in the hunt, while Albury City were far too strong for Wodonga Heart, coming away with a 6-0 triumph.
