The independent investigation found that there was “insufficient evidence” to bring a charge of unbecoming conduct against either party.
“The league is comfortable with the decision reached by the investigation officer,” a statement from the league read.
“As previously stated, any contact between a player and a member of the the crowd needs to be reviewed and the league felt this incident required an investigation to determine whether either party had a case to answer at the tribunal.”
