'Insufficient evidence' to charge Albury's Chris Hyde or Myrtleford spectator after investigation

NO charges will be brought against Albury Tigers player Chris Hyde or Myrtleford spectator Pat Sullivan after the Ovens and Murray completed its investigation into a round seven scuffle.

The independent investigation found that there was “insufficient evidence” to bring a charge of unbecoming conduct against either party.

“The league is comfortable with the decision reached by the investigation officer,” a statement from the league read.

“As previously stated, any contact between a player and a member of the the crowd needs to be reviewed and the league felt this incident required an investigation to determine whether either party had a case to answer at the tribunal.”
