The local association has joined forces with Triple M and are raising funds for Give Me 5 for Kids by hosting all local club’s Miniroos teams, aged from under fives to under 10s, at Jelbart Park on Saturday.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, in round 12 of the senior competition, all junior clubs will be getting together to raise further funds.
AWFA registrar Belinda Antonello said all Albury-Wodonga clubs will be represented, along with teams from Yackandandah.
“We expect in excess of 700 kids, so it’s a pretty big event,” Antonello said.
“All the clubs are pulling together to do a barbecue, with all proceeds to go to the Give Me 5 for Kids Foundation for the Albury-Wodonga paediatric ward.
“We’re just trying to get the whole community behind Give Me 5 for Kids and raise as much money as we can.”
The day’s matches kick-off from 12.15pm.
