The ninth annual MND Mountain Challenge is happening at he Omeo Recreation Reserve on July 28, with the likes of David Neitz, Kirstie Marshall, David Cloke, Justin Koschitzke and Stephen Powell making the trip.
The stars will join the alpine community for an evening football and netball match, competing for the Peter Canning Cup and Tahnee Orchard Trophy.
The awards were named after locals who were diagnosed with the disease.
A fundraising auction will be hosted by Graeme Giddings, while the ‘Business of Sport’ luncheon will be hosted by Channel 7’s Nick McCallum.
Several members of local and state government will also attend.
In previous years, AFL greats Ron Barassi and Neale Daniher have attended the event.
