At Falls Creek, intense snowfall started close to midnight dropping 10cm of new snow by this morning. Fresh snow has continued to fall throughout the day with up to 30cm of new snow likely to fall at the resort today in the best snowfalls of Winter 2017. 

Over at Mount Hotham, there was 7cm overnight and it too has dumped through the day with heavy snow flakes falling fast. At least a further 20cm of snow is forecast today as a series of cold fronts intensify over the region. 

And the best news for skiers and boarders? Expert terrain is opening at Falls Creek tomorrow with the Summit chair turning again this season as the snow base races over half a metre.
